IPL Skin Rejuvenation
For younger looking skin
IPL Skin Rejuvenation
IPL skin rejuvenation is one of the best-known treatments for younger-looking skin. We offer only the best IPL equipment, used in over 1,000+ clinics worldwide. This means we guarantee you receive the best treatment possible.
The Intense pulsed light (IPL) is passed over the entire face twice; this stimulates the production of collagen and improves the elasticity and texture of the skin.
Collagen is the main structural protein found throughout our body and provides the strength that we require while elastin provides the ability to stretch and recoil.
IPL skin rejuvenation Southend will visibly improve the appearance of:
✓ Fine lines and wrinkles
✓ Broken thread veins
✓ Sun damage/age spots
✓ Brown spots/pigmentation
✓ Acne and acne scarring
A bit more info on each of the above can be found in the table below:
Fine lines and wrinkles
IPL skin rejuvenation Southend treatment – We use Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology to target light energy at the affected areas. Each pulse produces specific light wavelengths that are absorbed into the skin and turned into heat energy. The heat energy stimulates elastin and collagen formation and development. This reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, leaving skin looking refreshed and renewed.
To see great results a combination of both IPL and Microdermabrasion maybe be required.
Broken Thread Veins
IPL skin rejuvenation Southend is used to treat spider veins, also known as telangiectasias, the light generates heat in the veins. As with other spider vein treatments, this causes the walls of the vein to collapse and form scar tissue. Eventually, these veins will be reabsorbed by the body and fade away after several weeks. In general, IPL affects the lower layers of the skin, rather than the top. This allows it to reach deeper structures, like the spider veins, without burning the surface of the skin.
Sun Damage/Age Spots
IPL skin rejuvenation Southend produces specific wavelengths of light which are absorbed into the problem patches of skin. High concentrations of melanin absorb this light energy, breaking them down and reducing or removing the age spot without damaging any of the surrounding skin cells. Heat energy also stimulates cells that produce elastin and collagen. This elastin and collagen regeneration or growth reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines and leaves the skin looking fresher, healthier and revitalised. The overall effect is a lightening or removal of age spots.
Sufferers have traditionally been prescribed oral and topical antibiotics to reduce the effects of rosacea. However, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) has also been clinically proven to successfully reduce its effects.
Dr Patrick Bitter pioneered the use of IPL to treat rosacea in the USA and it is now widely regarded as one of the best treatments for rosacea sufferers. It works by using light energy to target capillaries in the skin. The light is absorbed by the skin which damages problem capillaries and allows them to be absorbed by the body through its natural processes. Once absorbed, the redness from rosacea will be less pronounced and, with multiple treatments, can disappear altogether.
